A. Conduct a periodic review of all eligibility factors not less than once every six months.
B. Require completion of the DFS 100 Application form.
C. Request verification when it becomes known the circumstances have changed or there is a reported change.
D. Establish a new best estimate when the assistance unit receives income, if required.
E. Realize a periodic review or desk audit can be required at anytime continued eligibility is questionable or a stable history has not been established.

F. DO NOT allow presumptive eligibility when the assistance unit received presumptive eligibility benefits within the previous 12 months.
G. Understand the Benefit Specialist has no responsibility to notify the client receiving Child Care benefits the periodic review is due but it is the responsibility of the client to contact the Benefit Specialist.
H. DOCUMENT the number of hours needed for child care and the calculation used to determine the number.
I. Authorize Child Care benefits for the next benefit month before the last working day of the month when the recipient has completed the face-to face interview, if required, and has provided information/verification by the requested date.
J. Allow the assistance unit to continue to receive transitional services when there is a break-in-aid of less than 30 days.
K. Generate the appropriate JAS notice of adverse action (see Tables) for non-cooperation when the recipient fails to complete the periodic review as requested;
L. Terminate the Child Care authorization.

M. Conduct a periodic review for POWER:
1. For "child only" assistance units;
2. When SNAP is due for re-certification and POWER is also received;
3. When an SSN is due;
4. When a change is known or suspected; or
5. At the time designated under Section 1604.
N. Realize the "Date Interviewed" field on the ADDR screen will:
1. Generate a periodic review date reflected on the caseload report based on the interview date plus five months;
2. Generate an alert 30 days prior to the expiration of the six months.
O. Generate EPICS notice A801 as soon as the alert appears to schedule the POWER periodic review before the 15th in the month it is due.
P. Authorize benefits by deadline when the recipient has completed the face-to-face interview within the appropriate performance period, provided requested information/ verifications and met other required performance issues.
Q. Enter the date the periodic review is completed in the "Date Interviewed" field on the ADDR screen.
R. DO NOT enter a date in the "Date Interviewed" field if the assistance unit is required to meet POWER performance requirements and not required to complete a periodic review.
S. Generate the appropriate EPICS notice of adverse action (see Tables) for non-cooperation when the recipient fails to complete the periodic review as requested.
T. Authorize the POWER $1 nonpayment status.
