1607               POWER Performance Requirements for Transfer Cases

POWER only – W.S. 42-2-108

A.  Within Field Offices

1.      Staff the transfers with the transferring and receiving DFS-FO, child support and work program action center to assure continuity of compliance with the POWER performance requirements;

2.      Complete the unit and caseload fields on the JAS DMAO screen whenever a Child Care case is transferred within the local DFS-FO.

B.    Between Field Offices

1.    Realize the transferring Benefit Specialist has primary responsibility for a transfer between field offices because s/he will have knowledge concerning the transfer of the POWER case;

2.    Realize the transferring child support and work program action center staff will contact the receiving contract office to advise an open POWER case will be transferred;

3.    Realize failure of the assistance unit to notify the current DFS-FO prior to the move is out of noncompliance as the change was not reported immediately and the requirements of the IRP are probably not being met;

4.    Transfer the Child Care case by entering the DFS-FO number on the DMAO screen in JAS.
