2009 Overpayment Notices
Send the appropriate notices of adverse action (see Tables) whenever an overpayment has occurred, including information concerning the right to an administrative hearing.
A. Mail the Possible Overpayment Notice (optional) within five working days of the discovery of a possible overpayment.
B. Send the First Notice of Overpayment the same day of the establishment of the claim.
C. Understand EPICS will automatically send a Past Due Payment Notice to all assistance units where payments are not being credited on EPICS:
1. Understand these notices include all programs on EPICS;
2. Understand these notices will be sent for six continuous months when no payments are being made.
D. Understand for programs on EPICS the Receipt of Payment notice will be automatically generated by EPICS:
1. For the program and claim the payment was posted to on EPICS when the claim has a balance owing;
2. EPICS will not send a Receipt of Payment Notice for any claims that are paid in full.
