A. Temporary Absence 1. Consider an individual to reside in the Assistance unit and meet the temporary absence criteria when s/he is absent for an indefinite period as long as s/he intends to reside in Wyoming; 2. Consider a LSC or SLSC individual to meet the Temporary absence criteria when s/he is absent for any reason up to 14 days in a year: a. Understand Medicaid will pay room and board for the 14-day period; b. Realize days in excess of the 14-day period become a private pay/billing issue; c. The Caretaker relative remains responsible for the care and control of the child(ren); and 2.
