711                 E&T Participant Reimbursements

SNAP - 7 CFR 273.7; ARW, Chapt. 2, Section 9

A.    Consider each E&T program participant who is actively participating in an approved component eligible to receive $15 per month for each of the sixty days of required participation as follows:

1.    Only one reimbursement per participant is allowed at the end of the first and fifth week of satisfactory completion of the E&T component;

2.    No more than two $15 reimbursements per participant are allowed in a 12 month period.

B.    Consider a participant who accepts employment of 30 or more hours per week eligible for the reimbursement for the month.

C.   Understand work registration alone does not qualify an individual for the reimbursement.

D.   Inform the participant the reimbursement is intended to cover those expenses reasonably necessary and directly related to participation in the E&T program.

E.    Allow each E&T program participant who is actively participating in an approved component to receive child care according to the Child Care policy.

F.    Exempt the $15 reimbursement from income consideration for all programs.
